How do I add a layer to my map?

A layer allows you to define and highlight a territory, displayed over the base map.

To be able to add it to a map, you must have created it beforehand as a resource.

🧩 Add a layer to my map

  1. Go to your map
  2. Go to the "Formatting" menu, then to the "Custom layer" section
  3. Click on "Manage layers"
  4. Click on "Add from editor", at the top of the page
  5. Select one or more resources that you want to add from the list
  6. Configure the options for your layer:
    • Altitude: altitude of the layer for multi-floor maps
    • Maximum zoom: maximum zoom level at which the layer is visible
    • Minimum zoom: minimum zoom level at which the layer is visible
    • Click action:
      • Ignore: no action
      • Popup: a label displays with the configured text
      • Tooltip: similar functionality to popup that requires more information
      • Zoom: a zoom is performed on the concerned area
    • Hover action:
      • Ignore: no action
      • Highlight: highlighting when hovering the mouse over the area

πŸ“Œ Note:

For "Pop up" and "Tooltip" click actions, you can customize the description to display by clicking on "Customize template".

Then enter your text, then click on "Save".

  1. Click on "Save", at the top right of the page to finalize adding the layer to the map

πŸ“Œ Note:

Layers created in the "My resources" section can be attached to one or more maps. You can therefore easily reuse an already configured layer.
