What connector for what use?
Wemap has the capability to retrieve content from a large number of data sources via applications: private connectors or public connectors (or data formats).
- Public connectors:
These are connectors linked to databases accessible via a subscription in your license according to your needs.
Ex: Google Spreadsheet, Apidae (tourist data), OpenAgenda,...
- Private connectors (custom):
We can also create a custom connector to retrieve your content from your own data source. This requires specific development, accessible only by yourself.
Ex: the venue database for the Ministry of Culture.
๐กGood to know:
Facebook, Youtube, Instagram and RSS connectors are included free of charge in your license.

Connected spreadsheets from the Google or Microsoft suite
The online spreadsheet is the simplest solution for collecting data and making it evolve. Indeed, you have complete control over the structure of your content. Each row in your file corresponds to a point on your map, and each column has a content type to associate with it: image, redirect link, description,... You can thus easily manage the information you wish to share. The big +? Thanks to the synchronization between your spreadsheet and Wemap: additions, modifications and deletions made in the file are automatically reflected on your map. Benefit from a map updated in real time. To go further: your Excel and Sharepoint environments have a sharing system reserved for your collaborators, on our side no worries, Wemap offers you a connection using credentials.
