Error messages when creating or updating a point list

When you create or update a list of points in Wemap Pro, two messages appear during the process: at the start of synchronization and at its completion.

Message 1: Start of synchronization

This first message appears in green to inform you that synchronization is starting.

Message 2: End of synchronization

This message provides information about the import process, with an associated color code.

Color

Illustration / Example

Everything worked properly

Orange
The data is already up to date so no changes were made

Red

An error is blocking data synchronization

These messages specify the cause of the problem and the affected POIs

Here are examples of errors that can block synchronization:

Error encountered

Illustration

The "POI Name" property is missing

The ID (external_id) is not filled in

The GPS coordinates format is incorrect: latitude and longitude contain a comma instead of a period

The "Phone" information was entered in the "Advanced Fields" section.

Advanced fields require specific data formats and we recommend them for use by developers.

Otherwise, we advise using the "Description" field.

The Google Sheets / Spreadsheet document URL is set to private access. You must configure the file sharing and access settings by indicating that it should be visible to all users with the link

πŸ’‘ Note:

For Excel and Spreadsheet file imports, the "External ID" mention in the error message indicates which row of your file is affected.
