Organize my maps: thumbnail, tags and sort alphabetically

For optimized map management in Wemap, several organizational tools are available.

Whether you want to distinguish your maps visually or group them by themes, here are the customization options at your disposal.


🏞️ Adding thumbnails for quick identification

Customizing a map's thumbnail allows you to recognize it instantly in your Wemap space.

To modify a map's thumbnail:

  1. Access your map
  2. Go to the "Map Summary" menu:
  3. Click on "Update preview": the default image or current image will display
  4. Scroll down to the bottom of the window to select or drop an image from your files
  5. Click on "Add"


🏷️ Using tags for organization by themes

Tags allow you to categorize your maps by themes or project types, making it easier to filter and search for a specific map.

To enable tag search:

  1. Go to the "Manage" > "My maps" page
  2. Click on "Advanced options"
  3. Enable the "Search by tag" option

This will allow you to display only maps that match a specific tag.


πŸ—‚οΈ Sorting maps alphabetically

You have the option to sort your maps alphabetically, a simple and effective way to order them, especially when their number grows.

To sort your maps:

  1. Go to "Manage" > "My maps".
  2. Click on the icon to the right of the search bar.
  3. Click on "Name" to sort in ascending order (arrow down), in descending order (arrow up), or by date (no arrow).
