Use the Microsoft Excel connector

The Microsoft Excel connector allows you to import your data into Wemap Pro, all at once, without having to reimport your file with each modification: information automatically updates in your lists and on your maps when an action is performed in your file.

How does it work?

Enter your data in your file
Create a list on Wemap Pro via the connector by adding your file
Once the operation is complete, you will only need to update your Excel file as needed and the changes will be automatically applied to your list, and therefore to your map: an update takes place daily thanks to the connector

🛠️ Prerequisites:

The Microsoft Excel connector must be included in your subscription to be used. For more information on this subject, please feel free to contact us at customers@getwemap.com
The Microsoft Excel file to import must be stored on Microsoft SharePoint.

⚙️ Connect the Microsoft Excel application

Go to the page "Create"> "List"
Select the "Connect an app" method.
Choose "Microsoft Excel", then click on "Connect".

📌 Note:

To fill in the requested fields, you must retrieve permissions and IDs from your Microsoft Entra Admin Center: https://entra.microsoft.com/

The client secret value appears only once, when creating a new client secret and disappears after changing pages: we advise you to save it on your side.
If you had already completed this procedure but had not saved the client secret value, you will need to repeat the procedure described in the video.
Once completed, all your credentials are available in the overview, except the client ID which is located in "Certificates and secrets" (the client secret value is now hidden).

Fill in the fields with the information retrieved from Microsoft Entra:

Sharepoint URL:
- Access your Microsoft SharePoint account: https://msgetwemap.sharepoint.com/
- Open your Excel file (you can also create or import it)
- Copy the file link and paste it into this field in Wemap Pro
App ID: corresponds to "Application (client) ID"
Secret: corresponds to "Client secret value" or "Value"
Tenant ID: corresponds to "Directory (tenant) ID"

Perform the mapping between the values (from the file) and the properties (required by Wemap Pro).

Click on "Import into a list" at the bottom of the page (or "Update" if it is a mapping update)

The list is then created: find it in "Manage" > "Lists".

You can now add the list to your map.
