Set my map's opening area
In order to highlight a territory (city, region, country...), it is possible to define a geographic area on which the map opens.
🗺️ Define the opening area
- Access your map
- Go to the "Map layout, controls and launch" menu
- Configure the opening area:
- Auto: the map automatically opens on an overview of the points
- User position: the map opens on the user's location via their geolocation (recommended for mobile use)
- Fixed area: choose which geographic area you want the map to open on (to be used to highlight a territory or simplify navigation)
- Click on "Define the fixed area"
- Zoom and center the map on the desired area
- Click on "OK"
- Save your map
