Create and edit categories

Styling categories is only possible when you add new icons: this does not work if you use standard Wemap icons.

In fact, icons become categories: if you associate a category icon with a POI, the POI will then take on the characteristics of the category on the map once mapped.

🎨 Create categories

1. Access the category creation page: "Create" > "Category"
2. Add a category name
3. Upload the icon to associate

🖊️ Edit categories

1. Access the category management page (if already existing): "Manage" > "My categories"

You will find your icons associated with POIs there (see video above)

2. Click on the pencil icon of the desired category
3. Add a category name
4. Click on "Add"

👉 You can also modify the icon of an existing category from this page, by uploading another visual in the dedicated space, below "Category name".
