Associate a POI with an object

⚙️ Prerequisites

Before associating a POI with an object, make sure you meet the following prerequisites:

📍 Create a POI from the map

  1. Access your map
  2. Go to the "Map Content" menu
  3. Create a point manually:
    • Click on "Create a point manually"
    • Search for the list to associate with the point or create a new one
      • Enter the name
      • Click on "+"
    • Enter a name for the point
    • Add an icon, by clicking on the area to the left of the name: when the POI is associated with an object (see next paragraph), it will automatically inherit the characteristics of the category associated with the icon
    • Move the cursor on the map to position the POI or enter an address
    • Add a description and tags if you wish
    • Click on "Save"

📌 Note:

If the pinpoint is located outside the building, the "Outdoor pinpoint" option is automatically checked.

🖇️ Associate a POI with an object

If you want to associate a POI with an object or modify its positioning, you must access edit mode.

In edit mode, drawn or imported objects defined as "Rooms" display a black point at their center. This point allows you to associate a POI with it and the object will then automatically inherit the characteristics of the category.

To associate a POI with an object:

  1. Access your map
  2. Go to the "Map Content" menu, then click on your list
  3. Activate edit mode:
    • Points without location (draft) are displayed as a list on the left side of the screen
    • Objects identified as object type "Rooms" are displayed with a black point on the map
  1. Select the point concerned in the list, then drag it onto the map
  2. Position it on a black point so that the POI is properly associated with the object (the polygon representing the room becomes dark gray when the POI is properly associated).

Once the tiles and page are refreshed, the room takes on the properties of the category.

In the example below, the room takes on the properties of the "Meeting room 1" category (category name, icon, yellow polygon color, level 0...)
