Configure an event to display on my map: format and best practices
You can associate events with a point and display date and time data in the point details.
Your point and your event form a single entity: the point information is also the event information (image, description, etc.).
📅 Setting up an event to display it correctly on your map.
In your Google Sheets or Excel file:
- Create 2 new columns
- Start date and time
- End date and time
- Add as many rows as there are events or event times, even if they take place at the same location.
E.g.: if event "A" takes place on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, from 9pm to 11pm, your file must contain 3 rows (one for Monday, one for Tuesday, one for Wednesday).
- Enter the event information in ISO format: 2021-07-31T20:30:00Z
- Date format: YYYY-MM-DD
- Time format: HH:MM:SSZ
- "T" is a separator that allows computer systems to distinguish the date and time parts, which must be included in your file
- "Z" corresponds to UTC time (time according to geographical zone)
E.g.: in France, during summer time the Z parameter must be replaced by +02:00 and during winter time +01:00.

- Apply a "Plain text" format to the date columns: Format > Number > Plain text
📌 Note:
- If your file is already synchronized (in the case of a Google Sheets imported via connector), access your list from "Manage" > "My lists", then click on "Edit columns" > "Add a column" to add this information.
- For the event to be correctly imported on your map, it must absolutely include a date and time. However, if it is not necessary to indicate a specific time or if you do not have this information, you can indicate midnight by default "T00:00:00". You can then hide these times directly in the map options.
- If one of your points contains multiple events or multiple dates/times, activate clusters to indicate the number of events offered for this location.
🗺️ Setting up your map to display events
For your events to display correctly on the map:
- Access the relevant map
In the "Map content" section:
- Activate the "Priority to events" option
💡 Tip:
To hide event times, go to the "Formatting" > "Visible fields" section, then activate the "Hide times" option.
